  At the 2024 China Wire and Cable Industry Conference, Far East Cable, a subsidiary of Yixing-based Far East Holding Group, was listed again, winning the "Top 10 Most Competitive Enterprises in China's Cable Industry" for 11 consecutive years. At the 2024 China Top 500 Enterprises Summit Forum that concluded in the same period, Far East also made the list of China's Top 500 Enterprises and China's Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises for 18 consecutive years. As a leading enterprise in China's cable industry, Far East has deepened its efforts in the industry and continued to climb new heights through innovation.   In the Baihetan Hydropower Station project, a major "West-East Power Transmission" project fully put into operation in June last year, two ±800 kV "aerial corridors" came from Far East Cable. Now, after more than a year of testing, the advantages of the enterprise's independently developed "new-type large-section steel-core high-conductivity aluminum stranded cable" have gradually emerged. In just 7 milliseconds, it stably "delivers" clean electricity from the junction of Sichuan and Yunnan to the Jiangsu-Zhejiang region 2,000 kilometers away. "This conductor uses 62.5% IACS high-conductivity aluminum instead of 61% IACS aluminum conductor. During power transmission, for every 1% IACS increase in conductivity, each kilometer of line can save about 1,000-2,500 kWh annually, which is equivalent to 0.33-0.83 tons of standard coal, and reduces CO? emissions by 0.86-2.2 tons. It can not only realize power transmission in areas with complex climates and terrains but also truly practice green and low-carbon development," said Wang Yao, R&D chief engineer of the Power Cable R&D Service Department of Far East Cable.
  

  

  

  

  Today, Far East's high-conductivity aluminum alloy and other series of cable products have been successfully applied to more than 30 UHV transmission lines, covering 16 provinces and cities including Guangdong, Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu, and Xinjiang. In May this year, the enterprise's "high-conductivity aluminum stranded wire" was also selected as a national manufacturing single 冠军 (champion) product. Behind this remarkable market "report card" is Far East Cable's persistent pursuit of product innovation. In recent years, the domestic demand for new-type cables such as aerospace, nuclear power, offshore wind power, and automotive wiring harnesses has continued to increase. To stand out in the competition, Far East Cable has relied on its technical R&D and manufacturing capabilities formed by 40 years of deep cultivation in the industry to intensify breakthroughs in technologies for high-end, high-value-added, and special products.   At present, the enterprise has more than 180 products reaching the international leading or advanced level, owns nearly 1,000 patents, and has shaped leading competitive advantages in market segments of energy cables such as wind power cables, charging pile cables, and photovoltaic cables. At present, walking into the cable production workshop of Far East Cable in Yixing, 一根根 (one by one) cables go through processes such as wire drawing, stranding, cross-linking, armoring, and sheathing, and continuously come off the production line to be transported to projects across the country. From January to September this year, the cumulative 中标 (winning) and signed contracts of Far East's intelligent cable network business with orders of more than 10 million yuan exceeded 15.5 billion yuan.
